Right now, our lines are jammed.
Texas set a new record for power demand in July 2026, and our busiest lines are running near their limits. Beside not being able to get enough power where its needed, congestion cost about $2.5 billion a year.
Upgrade the lines, and run them smarter.
Grid-enhancing technologies (GETs) are sensors and software that show how much power a line can safely carry right now, and help route power around bottlenecks. High-performance conductors replace old wire on the same towers and can carry about twice as much. Both go in faster and cost less than new lines, and they work alongside new lines, not instead of them.
